Tea Sangria or Sangria Tea?

It might be a state of mind or a state of time, but sometimes an iced tea fan wants to add a little flavor and a little romance to their favorite tea. This non-alcoholic tea recipe is a flavorful way to add a taste of Spain to your Tejava Original Black Tea.  With so many iced tea recipes out there, we like this sangria style recipe using fresh and frozen fruit and adding a little sparkle with some flavored sparkling water.  (We recommend Crystal Geyser Sparkling.)  We think you’ll find this to be a delicious mocktail, ideal for parties.  The rich red color of the grape juice paired with the tannins of the black tea are a perfect combination for this sangria recipe.

Ingredients

    • 1 cup raspberry, cranberry, or pomegranate juice
    • 3 cups Tejava Unsweetened Iced Tea – ready-to-drink, or brewed and chilled from pod or pyramid tea bag
    • 2 cups red grape juice
    • 1 lemon, sliced
    • 1 lime, sliced
    • 1 cup Orange-, Lemon-, or Lime-flavored Crystal Geyser Sparkling Water, chilled

      How to Prepare

        1. Freshly brew three (3) Tejava Original Black Tea Bags or Tea Pods at 8 oz. each and cool to room temperature or use 24 oz. of Tejava ready-to-drink tea. You can substitute Tejava Raspberry flavored tea (available in ready-to-drink, pods or tea bags) for extra flavor.
        2. Once cooled, stir together all the ingredients but the sparkling water in a large pitcher.
        3. Cover and chill 2 to 24 hours.
        4. Stir in sparkling water and serve immediately over ice and fresh fruit.
